hello

My name is Dan Goubert. I am a content (in both the adjective and noun form) producer of sorts, but really just a writer. I write advertisements professionally, blogs recreationally, and other things occasionally. There's also a podcast and an unseen aviary of unbaked ideas. Maybe they'll fly the coop someday.

There are examples of my work on this site, though you're welcome to ask for more.

If you'd like to discuss professional or freelance opportunities, I keep my resume handy. For more informal conversations, here's a field guide to some of my favorite topics:

nostalgia, hauntology, culture jamming, the uncanny, Beanie Babies, Godzilla films, digital artifacts, internet archaeology, analogue media, obsolete media, lost media, electronic music microgenres, marble textures, vegetable aesthetics, Sailor Moon, amateur geometry, streetwear, normcore, Starburst flavors, the underrated genius of Homestar Runner, subcultural genealogy, hair dye, and marble rye.
